FAQ

Questions

Is TajweediQuran free?

Yes. Reading both Mushafs is free.

Which Mushaf is this, and how was it checked?

  • 16-line Indo-Pak: the Indo-Pak Nastaleeq word-by-word script from the Quranic Universal Library (QUL), set in the traditional 16-line Taj Company page layout, 548 pages.
  • 15-line Madani: QUL's Digital Khatt script (Hafs) in the 15-line Madani page layout, 604 pages.

Both editions were checked in two steps: automated character checks, then manual ayah-by-ayah comparison. They were audited and reviewed by Hafiz Farhan ul Haq, Dars-e-Nizami graduate (Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi).

What do the colours mean?

Each colour marks a Tajweed rule; see the Tajweed colour guide. Both Mushafs carry the same colours.

Can I install it on my phone or PC?

Can teachers use it in online classes?

Yes. Share your screen and use the magnifier, annotation tools and mistake marks.

Does it work offline?

Pages you have already opened will open without a connection once you install the app. Other pages need the internet.

TajweediQuran was founded on 28 May 2023 and is run by Farhan ul Haq in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is free, with no ads and no sign-up. See the About page for the sources and how the text was checked, or contact us.
